The tension between Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders came to a head after the CNN / Des Moines Register debate on Tuesday evening. After the debate, the President’s two hopefuls exchanged views, and Sanders threw up his hands and walked away.
Although the stock market’s audio was not immediately available, it was finally released by CNN on Wednesday evening.
“I think you called me a liar on national television,” she said.
“What?” He replied.
“I think you called me a liar on national television,” said Warren.
“You know, let’s not do it now. If you want to have this discussion, we’ll have this discussion,” said Sanders and Warren replied, “Anytime.”
“You called me a liar,” returned Sanders. “You told me – all right, let’s not do it now.”
Days before this exchange, Warren said he had previously told her that a woman could not win the election, which Sanders contested, but others eventually confirmed Warren’s claims.
Although they have been “friends” for decades, it seems that their friendship needs to be pushed aside because not everything is fair in terms of friendship and politics.
