The hopeful Jurgen Klopp, Joel Matip, Fabinho and Dejan Lovren will be fit for Liverpool vs Manchester United

The head of Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp, is optimistic. Joel Matip, Fabinho and Dejan Lovren will return from the injury in time for Sunday’s Premier League clash with old rival Manchester United in Anfield.

Fabinho has been out since the end of November because of an ankle problem, Matip has been out for two months with a knee problem and Lovren hasn’t played since December 10 due to a thigh injury.

“I really wait until they are in the field and someone tells me they are allowed to do the whole session,” Klopp said on the club’s website.

“It seems that Joel will be inside, it seems that Fabinho will be maybe a day later, I’m not sure.” Leave, maybe he can be there too.

“That means a lot and helps tremendously, of course. But we will see how it looks. The week is very important.

“Sunday’s game against United, we all know what people expect of us from that game.” It will also be great and we will try to be prepared for that. ”

Fugitive league leaders enjoy a rare full week between the games after Saturday’s victory over Tottenham, although Klopp warned that it brought challenges of its own for its players.

He added: “This time it was not intensity, this time it was the breaking of the rhythm. I know that people will say that sometimes it is that and sometimes it is that, but it is so.

“Now we were used to (one game) three days, three days, four days, three days and now some of us had nine days. Training, yes, but not intensity: we can’t do that and we don’t want to do it.

“So now we are again and continue.”
