The Cincinnati Bengals have their first overall win in the 2020 NFL Draft, and at this point it seems natural for them to choose Joe Burrow from LSU with this win on the draft. Not surprisingly, the Bengals coaches are already talking about the Heisman winner.

Here’s quarterback coach Andy Van Pelt, who explains in detail how Burrow is headed for spring: “He’s definitely checking a lot of boxes at the start of the evaluation process,” said Van Pelt on the team’s official website. “He obviously looks like a very fascinating guy.”

You don’t have to be an NFL scout to know that Burrow is going into the draft, as hot as anyone who has explained for a long time. During the 2019 season, he broke numerous records and ended his college career with one of the most legendary title game performances in the recent past. In the second half, he played through cracked cartilage in his ribs, collecting 521 yards and six touchdowns when the LSU won the title.

Brian Callahan, offensive coordinator from Bengals, foresaw how he could translate from college to professionals, and praised Burrow for his pocket consciousness and accuracy.

“He has a natural pocket feel. He feels it,” said Callahan. “It seems like he will never take his eyes off the field. He really extends the piece very, very well. It is much faster than you might think if You see him run away from all the SEC guys. He’s incredibly accurate in the field. In a rare game the ball barely hits the ground. He just naturally places the ball where the boys can play. “

Speaking of accuracy, the 2019 Burrow campaign has demonstrated this trait in a stunning way. The young man completed 76.3 percent of his passes for 5,671 yards, 60 touchdowns, six interceptions, and an average of 10.8 yards per attempt and 12.5 adjusted passing yards per attempt.

The Bengals can’t screw this first choice at all, can they? You already seem to be tipping your hand that Burrow is coming to Cincinnati. Whether they can help him become a dynamic pro quarterback is a very different question that we will concentrate on for a long time to come.
