It’s fair to say that 2020 is an exciting year for gamers, with the upcoming releases of next-gen consoles, the PS5 from Sony and the Xbox Series X from Microsoft.

However, after NBA Live 20 was canceled, we hope to finally get EA’s basketball title back with a bang!

What can we expect from NBA Live 21’s career mode when NBA 2K20’s offline story mode raises the bar?

NOW LOOK AT BELOW to stay up to date on the gaming world!

Strong foundations

NBA Live 19 showed a very impressive career mode.

Her “The One” story-lined career mode was similar to that of NBA 2K and was not the most original idea, but it was definitely effective.

THERE IS ONLY ONE: The last career mode on NBA Live 19 was a success

If NBA Live can incorporate some fresh ideas and a well-written story into its 21 title, it could mean a change.

However, it will take a lot of time to compete with NBA 2K20’s recent offline efforts.

Competition for NBA 2K20

It’s no secret that NBA 2K20 takes offline story mode very seriously.

In fact, MyCareer was so good that we called it the best story mode ever made from a sports title!

MyCareer’s success is based primarily on the game’s partnership with SpringHill Entertainment – a major player in the film industry.

SpringHill Entertainment’s impact on story mode is obvious as the depth of each character is incredible.

In addition, NBA 2K brings high-profile names to improve story mode (as if it were necessary).

HIGH PROFILE: Idris Elba played in MyCareer as your player’s coach

Famous celebrities like Idris Elba can be seen in offline mode, and NBA 2K16’s story mode was even staged and written by Spike Lee!

It’s fair to say that NBA Live has 21 big boots to fill.

What we want to see

So we made it pretty clear that NBA 2K MyCareer stands out from the crowd. But how can NBA Live 21 meet the high standards of 2K?

As mentioned earlier, EA did a pretty good job in “The One” in NBA Live 19. A major drawback, however, was the off-field experience.

Improve the off-field experience

Admittedly, it is difficult for NBA Live to find new ways to add significant depth to the field without giving the impression that they are copying what 2K does.

However, this must be a top priority.

The One was a big step for NBA Live, but depth was still lacking and progress is too linear.

Realism added

Typically, NBA Live struggles to develop accurate and different body types, and the jerseys sometimes look almost as if they were painted.

In addition, the physics and ball mechanics of 2K are simply superior.

KEEP IT REAL: Improved physics and mechanics would create a more intense experience

NBA Live’s lack of realism leads to an arcade-style game that limits the experience in story mode.

Create a more difficult AI setting

The gameplay of NBA Live is extremely offensive.

As a result, the gameplay has an arcade feel that makes it easy for beginners to compete, but may be neglected for devoted basketball players.

To ensure that they engage committed basketball fans, NBA Live should try to introduce a more difficult AI setting that balances the game and is more challenging for the player.
