Kogi: Two burned to death in an accident involving a Dangote trailer

Two people were confirmed dead in a car accident, which occurred at around 4 p.m. on Monday in Felele in Lokoja, Kogi state.

The Dangote truck was reliably established to have come from Obajana loaded with thousands of bags of cement when the incident occurred.

According to an eyewitness, the articulated vehicle was traveling to one of the northern states when the incident occurred.

The source added that when arriving at Felele along the Lokoja-Abuja road while the vehicle was descending, the brake failed as it crashed on a heavy barricade in the center of the road, then made a somersault .

The accident caused the vehicle to burn because the two people – the driver and the trucker were burned beyond recognition.

Meanwhile, men from the Federal Road Safety Corps were on hand to monitor traffic and also clear the bags of cement along the road to avoid another accident.

The firefighters were not left out because they extinguished the fire to also avoid a new explosion because the accident site was close to certain service stations.
