Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray had to end the game against Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday due to an ankle injury.
Murray played only 15 minutes before leaving the game. He then had x-rays that turned out negative.
“I find the X-rays negative. I don’t know how long he’ll be gone. Apparently he had an ankle injury problem. I just looked at it and it’s pretty big, which is kind of scary.
He rolled it and that’s scary because these injuries – apart from being painful – don’t want Jamal Murray to miss a long period of time. Hopefully it’s not as bad as it looks and we can get him back, ”said Nuggets head coach Mike Malone.
Murray has averaged 7.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.3 steals this season.
Here is Michael Malone’s full quote about Jamal Murray’s left ankle injury.
“Obviously he had an ankle injury problem. I just looked at it and it’s pretty big, which is kind of scary.”

UPDATE: Jamal Murray has a left ankle injury. Assistant coach Charles Klask told me that Jamal said he didn’t feel as bad as he originally thought when it happened.
