Connagh Howard, the new boy from Love Island, has Hollywood's past as an actor

One of the new Love Island Hunks had a Hollywood career with a number of acting roles.

Connagh Howard, who will be entering the mansion on today’s show, was seen in the 2011 film Hunky Dory, in which he appeared with Minnie Driver.

The 27-year-old played a character named Marvin in the film, which is about drama teacher Vivienne (played by Driver) who puts on a production of The Tempest.

The film premiered at the 55th BFI London Film Festival and Connagh first became famous when he walked the red carpet with a number of famous faces.

He also played a role in the hugely successful BBC drama Keeping Faith alongside Eve Myles.

Connagh played a boxing trainer on the show, which is about the character Faith looking for her missing husband.

The man, who also works as a model, did not mention his acting career when he was interviewed before going to the villa.

But he said his claim to fame was that he was in an advertisement with boxer Anthony Joshua.

Connagh said, “I was in an advertisement with Anthony Joshua. I’m a big boxing fan. I was really excited to meet him.

“We both train in advertising. It was pretty nerve-wracking, he’s a big boy!”

Tonight Connagh is making an appointment with Sophie Piper, who is currently working with Connor Durman.

Connor admits that he is “stressed” when she meets someone else, but Sophie keeps her options open.

She says: “I feel happy with Connor. But obviously we are only a few days away, it would be stupid to completely lock myself up, so we have to see how the next few days go.”
